£150,000 number Plate for Ronaldo
Private number plates are now more popular than ever before. Mostly they are becoming more and more affordable, with prices ranging from £250, however, there are some exceptions to this rule.
Christiano Ronaldo has recently purchased CR7 for his aston martin for £150,000. Ronaldo has decided for his initials CR and his shirt number 7, and it is pleasing to see that in true Manchester United number 7 style he is extravagantly spending his "hard earned" money on cars! David Beckham would be proud.
Now it may only be a week and a halves wages for the talented portuguese winger, but it is still a large chunk of money on a number plate. Infact probably doubled the value of his Aston martin.
Motoring slow down, saves money
An AA report has shown that people are finally slowing down on the roads. However, it has nothing to do with camera's or fines; it's to do with the cost of fuel.
Drivers are able to save up to 6p a litre, by slowing down and gaining an extra 3MPG.
An AA spokesman said:
“For most motorists – particularly families on a budget – fuel has become a much more convincing argument to slow down than the threat of a speed camera,”
Used Audi A6
It's been a few days since i've posted to the blog, so apologies first of all for that.
However, over the last day or so, I have had the pleasure of driving around in an Audi A6.
Now having been an ex-used mercedes benz sales person, I am a mercedes benz convert. The E class is the best in it's class. End of.
Well that was until I drove the Audi A6. Smooth, to drive, excellent looks, stylish interior, and an excellent all round executive used car to purchase.
I would highl;y recommend anyone looking for an executive used car, to drive the Audi A6 before commiting to any other purchase, of a used mercedes E class, or BMW 5 series.
Why Pay For Used Car Advertising
With so many places to advertise your used car stock online nowadays, why would any used car dealer pay to have their stock listed on a used car search engine?
At justcarsonline we are looking at developing over the coming months, our used car stock management system, and will be providing advertising on our site, fed directly from the dealers own stock management system into our website.
We will be providing this system to dealers set up fee free! Yes thats right you heard it here first, that used car dealers, will be able to have access to a a used car stock management system, that allows them to manage their used cars, invoice their clients, and manage their prospects, while automatically feeding their updated used cars stock lists onto both their website-either their current site or one provided by us [Again designed free of charge], and justcarsonline.co.uk
Many used car dealers are having to assess their costs, as the credit crunch takes hold and people begin to tighen their belts....hence spending less on luxuries such as updating their used car. JustCarsonline.co.uk are planning on reducing used car dealer's monthly advertising expenditure, and therefore making them more profitable in a tough economic climate.
The Future Of Used Cars
Many people will only buy a used car. They don't want to suffer the depreciation you would get with buying a brand new car. It's understandable, when you can expect to lose the 17.5 % VAT the minute you drive the car away.
Ex-demonstrator vehicles give buyers the chance to avoid some of this loss, and there will be some very exciting ex-demonstrator used cars coming up for sale over the next 3 months
So for those people, this weeks motor show will be showing them what will be available in the next couple of months, as these cars are launched, and slowly filter into the Uk used cars for sale stock.
Some of the most popular vehicles for used car buyers are the ford fiesta, and the vauxhall vectra.
Ford launched their new fiesta this week, and vauxhall launched the vauxhall vectra replacement the Insignia.
The Insignia is much better looking than the old vauxhall vectra, which in honesty looks like a brick on wheels, and having had the pleasure of driving one for a while, handles very similar to a brick on wheels aswell.
The insignia may finally enable vauxhall to be able to compete with the likes of the Ford Mondeo, and the Volkwagen Passat, both very good looking family saloon cars.
Brakes, Airbags, and stuff
Used Cars Website Goes To The Motor Show
Later today we will have our motor show gallery live. We had a great day at the excel centre yesterday, and met some great contacts for the used car website.
However, the highlight of the day has to go to the people at the th!nk stand, promoting their new range of cars, that are, electric powered, plastic made from recycled material, and generally a very economical option of car. The cars take 10 hours to charge, and can run for about 120 miles. ideal if you need a city run about.
However, the quote from the lady we spoke to describing the vehicle is
"it is a proper car, it has brakes, and air bags, and stuff!"
I wish I was joking!
On the whole the motor show had a huge underlying theme of fuel efficiency, and how you can save the planet, aswell as money. This has proberly been driven by the fact fuel prices are exceptionally high at present, and the pressure to reduce our carbon footprint is getting even more intense.
Many manufacturers, especially ford as mentioned before with regards the fiesta, were displaying there "eco" cars, and trying to show they are thinking about the future.
If the motor show is anything to go by, in the coming years car buyers are going to be looking for more economy, and lower carbon emissions.
Motor Show Pre-view
Pictures and reviews of all the British motor show excitment will come tomorrow and later in the week, but as a warm up, we have had a little look at the new ford fiesta.
The new model, looking very nice indeed, has had a complete revamp. The entry level car will be £155 cheaper than the previous model, starting at £8695.
But most impressively, they are launching a 1.6 TDCi engine, which is congestion charge, and road fund licence exempt, due to it's very low emissions.[98g/km]
It also rocks in with a fuel consumption of 76.3 MPG. With fuel prices rocketing, and the basic cost of living going through the roof, this fiesta could be a massive hit for the manufacturer.
It will cost just £11,845

Codenamed Project Eagle, the new 4 seater [2 + 2] vehicle will go on sale in 2009. Due to be launched with a rapid, 3.5 Litre engine, with a top speed of 160 MPH, the new "project eagle" will set you back a cool £60,000.

Can't wait to test drive it.
